About Ridgefield Park
Ridgefield Park, located in southeastern Bergen County is a diverse suburban community with a population of over 13,000. It is a suburban community with a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial development. Founded in 1894, the town is bordered to the west by the Hackensack River and to the south and east by Overpeck Creek. It is one of only four of the 564 municipalities in the state with a village type of government.
The Ridgefield Park Public Schools include three elementary schools servicing Pre-Kindergarten through grade six and Ridgefield Park Junior/Senior High School for grades seven through twelve. District student enrollment tops 2000 students including many from the nearby town of Little Ferry, NJ who attend from grades nine through twelve. Ridgefield Park Schools are accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education and offer a variety of academic options, special programs and activities, academic enrichment, clubs, and sports.
