Dr. Barry Haines, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Operations

Dr. Barry Haines
Acting Superintendent of Schools

Dr. Haines is currently the the Acting Superintendent of Schools. He also serves as a School Board member for the Mendham Borough Board of Education. He is a frequent contributor to NJ School Boards Magazine, as well as an EMentor and instructor for NJExcel, a postgraduate degree program supported by the NJDOE for educational professionals to obtain Supervisory, Principal, and/or Superintendent licenses. Dr. Haines currently teaches NJExcel sessions in supervision, assessment, best practices, and leveraging technology for school and district improvement. Previously he served as an adjunct faculty for Lesley University, Cambridge, MA, for 19 years in their graduate national program in systemic program implementation, administration, multimedia, and technology and institutional change.

Previous New Jersey positions include, Director of Technology/Curriculum for the Parsippany - Troy Hills Township Schools, Director of Technology for the Montclair Public Schools, Supervisor of District Technology for the Pequannock Township School District, and Supervisor of Educational Technology for the Flemington-Raritan Schools. He graduated from Boulder High School, Boulder, CO, and holds a BM from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA, an MA, and EdM from Columbia University Teachers College, NYC, and an EdD in Organizational Leadership Studies from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
