How You Can Get Involved

Get Involved

Home and school are a young child’s two most important worlds. As adults we must bridge these two worlds as often as possible. Families and teachers can find many ways to build relationships, help make connections for students, and support the health and development of children. The preschool program staff offers many ways for families to get involved with the school and personnel. Families should see their child’s teacher for more information. Regular communication between the home and school is vital to the experience children will have throughout their preschool years.

Ridgefield Park-Early Childhood Advisory Council (RP-ECAC)

The Early Childhood Department is seeking interested families and community members to join the Ridgefield Park-Early Childhood Advisory Council (RP-ECAC). The RP-ECAC provides an opportunity for community stakeholders to develop, assess, and review the needs of the residents of Ridgefield Park. Upon a needs assessment, members of the RP-ECAC will evaluate and identify the needs of the children and their families and serve as a conduit for resources to address those identified needs. The RP-ECAC is representative of the community. It consists of members from the school district, area preschools, resident citizens, parents, our hospital and clinics, Child and Family resources, Executive directors of agencies, and others by invitation. Use this resource to get detailed information about RP-ECAC.
